The past five days I was lucky to be a part of a free flow painting group online. I signed up on an intuitive whim when I saw the ad on Facebook. I had been getting the urge to create more in an artistic way all of the past year but had completely shut it out after a month of creating every day in June. After my son transitioned into Spirit in February I began opening up more to my creative powers and my heart. I felt drawn to write, listen to music, and create more art. I say art but I would not call it art in the traditional sense. I would call it soul expression through a medium.
Because I have been deep in the grieving process, ironically, I have been both able to connect and disconnect to my heart more. At times, I am flowing and connected and synchronicities abound. And, at other times I can only feel the deep pain of loss. I have also been doing some deep searching about what the rest of my year will look like and what I feel capable of achieving and creating. By using a creative outlet I hoped to get more in touch with my higher self and my heart to find some comfort and answers.
When the day came to begin the course I decided that I would not do it after all. It was just another free class I had signed up for anyway, right? I could just skip it. But, something in me must have known that I needed this course because I found it in me five days in a row to meditate and paint about some soul questions I had. Let me tell you, I have many tools in my belt to help me, including oracle cards, EFT, and other energy modalities, but this tool took me right to Source very quickly and helped me to have a deep clarity . It also helped me find my manifestation power.
To connect to your heart and higher guidance I suggest you try something similar: Sing, dance, or listen to energizing or meaningful music. Get out paints, or whatever you have on hand and just let what wants to arise from your soul flow out of you. It is not meant to be a perfectly artistic form. It is a message from your heart with love. It is a way for you to get out of your mind and into the flow of your truth which is eternal, infinite, love and light. Get your creative juices flowing and give it a try! You’re worth it!
